Join us for a FREE hands-on workshop lead by LA-based multidisciplinary artist J Michael Walker. Inspired by California Kinship: Painting Homelife in the Golden State Before 1940, participants are invited to look closely at the paintings in the exhibition and consider intimate moments depicted between artists and their sitters. Following this, J Michael Walker will guide participants in outlining and drawing their own thoughtful portraits. All materials will be provided. Please arrive by 11 a.m. to allow time for a self-guided visit through the gallery before beginning the artist-led workshop.
